GENAVIEVE DESOUZA, MMT

Genavieve is a neurologically focused, Masters level, Board-Certified Music Therapist and professional musician who uses her excitement for music to follow God’s leading in life and career.

At Shenandoah Conservatory she studied music therapy, dance (classical ballet and Graham modern), piano performance, voice, staging and arts management. She has developed and established a variety of programs on the East Coast and Colorado that incorporate the unique and healing power of music into schools, hospitals, clinics, life groups, homes and ministries. She now runs Encore Colorado Music Studio in Erie, Colorado, where she provides individually designed instrumental and vocal training as well as music therapy services. Continuing to incorporate a variety of dance into her daily life, she became certified in FAB dance and instructional training which contributed to the inspiration and co-creation of Praise in Motion. On weekends, you can find Genavieve, her daughter and twin boys enjoying the music of nature while adventuring in the mountains together.

LISA PAWLOWSKI, PSY.D

Dr. Lisa Pawlowski is a licensed Clinical Psychologist

who works exclusively with women and teen girls around

identity, depression and anxiety, shame, body image, and healing from hurts experienced within religious contexts. Lisa has a passion for redeeming relationships between God and His wounded children. She works to foster greater intimacy, vulnerability and authentic connection to self and others in body, soul and Spirit. While being active physically has always been a priority for Lisa, it was through her own healing journey that exercise and movement shifted from offering worthiness to offering wholeness. Becoming certified in FAB dance and instructional training and co-creating Praise in Motion to help others experience God's healing through movement was a natural outpouring of her heart. She and her husband live in Colorado with their two active boys. Lisa’s favorite activity is walking at sunset while admiring the breath-taking views of snow-capped Rockies.
